Ok people… I Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed some input on this, otherwise, I’m gona go awol and try do it myself.
I’m currently in contact with Rebel Monk Films from the UK who make some excellent video’s.
We have some in-house animators but I wanted to see what these guys can come up with.
I’m chasing idea’s for content. My brother and I are gonna work on producing the backing music to take some load off of RMF but I want some idea’s for the actual content.
I would like to see it produced in this style:

It needs to highlight ftc’s specs and unique features. We need to showcase what makes ftc different from every other crypto out there.
So I ask, start throwing some idea’s at me. Otherwise, I’ll do this myself :P

With a short 60 second video there should be more content than we can fit in.
Things to say.
1. Feathercoin a newer crypto currency that differs from Bitcoin by using a different hashing algo which makes it possible to mine at home without specialist equipment.
2. We have a friendly community.
3. Mention projects that have come from the community like Kevlar’s Link.I’ll think about some more and get back here. In the mean time, can others please chime in if they have an idea.

I think the biggest advantage that the general public will understand, everyone has walked into a shop and been told that ‘oh there’s a minimum spend for your debit card due to fees’ The transaction fees are tiny making it great for micro payments without screwing over the shopkeeper, which makes it a true day to day cash alternative.
Just a thought, are there any vending machines vending chocolate/drinks which take ‘cashless payments’? I’ve never seen any, and it’s probably for the reason above. Maybe this is an opportunity ready for the taking?

We all know he meant… he meant to say days… In the crypto world, one day is extremely short… Not much can happen in 24 hrs :D
But once again, in all seriousness.
Throw me some idea’s.
I have a whole bunch but I don’t want to make this a personal project. It is meant to lay the foundations for what will become a series of video’s. If this works out. We could look at getting some funds together and having something a whole lot more intense. Who knows. Maybe if we have something appropriate we could be the first coin to actualy advertise on TV… This isn’t something I aspire to, just a random thought whilst I type.

So, should we mention our “stats”, you know, the standard rigmarole you see on a coins launch. (This is what I want to avoid I think, just gauging everyone’s opinion)

I’d advise against the usual ‘spec’ stuff that means something to your cryptoheads but nothing to the general public. If you want to capture the hearts of the general public, show them how to use it, not how it works.

Gotta make it sexy…
We are subliminally programmed in almost every film that Alcohol leads to scoring. So, take a leaf out of the government’s book, have some blokes making a bet in a bar and they are out of cash, so they use Feathercoin via their mobile phone’s to wager a bet…
Then some chicks somehow get involved and it leads to everyone getting laid… Because of Feathercoin…

I mean you could tone it down, I’m not talking about a mass orgy, but it could be some girls hooking up with blokes and everyone having a nice/funny time because of a wager started with Feathercoin…
The girls could be like “Hey I heard about that cool new currency, I’ll have a piece of the action, double or nothing…” So you show how quick and easy it is to obtain FTC on the fly, using mobile tech…
Maybe a game of pool, the table next to them has some good looking girls and they overhear the blokes making a bet on the game using FTC…

Then the girls win the bet and they are happy cause they can use their FTC to buy all sorts of cool stuff…
Or maybe they say something like “I’m not gonna spend all of it cause I hear the value is gonna go up…”
Is this the kind of ideas your after?

I’m gonna end up having a few ideas, so i’ll label them.
“Two guys, a girl and some FTC” - This one is not in your theme indicated
I picture two guys at a bar, seeing a chick across the scene. One guy says to the other, dude buy her a drink. Ok he says, but you gotta leave so I can make my move. The guy orders the drink for the gal, she starts to walk over, and then the bar tender drops of the bill, and the guy uses his Credit Card. The bartender comes back after we hear a good one liner from the guy to the girl and says “Sorry, your credit card has been denied” girl looks disgusted with the “cheap” guy. Then the line comes up “Got FeatherCoin?” or some other catch phrase.

Quantity leads to quality, here’s another idea…
For each noun below, quick flashes of pictures, some funny, some cutting edge looking…

You speak to your friends digitally, you do your bills on the web, you buy your games on amazon, you email your aunt margeret her pill reminder schedule, you use your calendar app to be on time, and you upload your high scores when they’re late. So much of your life is digital, but not your loot? You deserve control over your money, and not leave it up to this guy (show’s ben bernake), or this guy (shows J. P Morgan CEO) or heck, even this guy (greedy looking S.O.B.) Take back the control of your money. After all, money is the way we store our work, and this guy (one of the previous 3 “bad guys”) shouldn’t be in control of it. With Feathercoin, you’re in control.

I think you need to show scenes depicting how fiat has and is failing I’m thinking about scenes of bank runs as seen the the UK and Greece, people walking out of their offices with the cardboard box containing their belongings as in bear sterns, illustrate the rampant inflation and the start the presses loop that the Fed seem to be stuck in. I see a dissolve scene where euro, dollar and sterling notes morph into monopoly money.

I think you might be onto something there… I work in the Funds Management industry and we are getting slammed by SMSF, self managed super funds, people don’t trust bankers and advisers anymore… The whole “Take control of your own money” is probably a good theme to play at…

Totally agree here. One good step towards generalized merchant adoption would be to have some vending machines accepting FTC. Fast, small, automatic payments… I like it! Anyone any idea how this could be implemented? The only idea that comes to mind is to create the dual-FTC-ATM-vending machine - O-TRON (last part is a reference to some old game pc’s :) ). In another words, have one machine where you can buy FTC near another where you can spend it. Anyone in the vending machine market? :)

I agree with the idea of taking back control of your money and showing how FTC is the answer.
How we have to request access to our own money from the banks and are limited to how much we are actually allowed to have. E.g. £300 a day Max from ATM’s. Maybe linking into stuff covered in this video?https://www.positivemoney.org/how-money-works/banking-101-video-course/
In fact maybe we could start to work with the positive money movement as I’m not sure if anyone has ever linked the two movements before. Anti Bank - Crypto Currency.

I’m starting to see really great idea’s coming together.
I think I can see the potential for 3 different video’s.
What I had in mind for the first one was something ultra simple.
Basically, just text / graphical messages that doesn’t go into detail but gives you enough to want to find out more. Think of it like a teaser trailer similar to the “Millennium Generation” video RBH has already done.
The second one, could be a skit style thing with actual actors like what Ignition initially put forward.

The third would be along the lines of what Surfguy has has pitched. Something longer and more fleshed out. Putting forward an argument and going into more reasoning.
That way we can have all 3 bases covered.
1. Teaser Trailer to incite interest: G ~60sec 2. Relateble Skit selling sex: MA ~2:30sec 3. In-depth Intellectual Reasoning: M ~4:30sec

Yesterday i came across this www.mincoin.io , and the first thought coming to my head was; this is what FTC needs! A catchy/short video like that that emphasizes on the major strengths of FTC !
Im not a graphic designer/animator, but whoever is/will be working in the video could use some inspiration out of Mincoin’s video. GO FTC.
