Just started getting interested a few weeks back in crypto currencies. I’ve tinkered with mining, with buying stuff and with buying some coins. I saw feathercoin on Bittylicious and did a little research so bought some and also started mining them on my laptop. I am very pleased as it actually looks like my very low-tech laptop will actually produce a whole coin! compared with the fractions of litecoins it was making. The things I liked were : a) the smaller denomination (buying stuff as 0.0001 bit coins is bound to lead to a factor of 10 mistake at some point!), b) the positive articles written on it in the press, c) the fact it was a bit more serious than the dog one that seems to have started as a joke. The only thing that nearly put me off was the market link on the website, as it was in a different style and I wasn’t clear on whether it was part of the site or not, also it reminded me of articles of Silk Road I read, until I looked at it more deeply and found music for sale!. I think the market is a good idea! Just letting you know my thought process as per the request :-)
