Hey All,
My name is Chris, I live in Melbourne Australia, I’m a mining n00b that’s been bitten hard by the bug.
I’m currently putting together milk crates miners, 4 x 280x pumping out around 2.9 Mh/s each, 1100 watts at the plug. I’m up to 5 crates, I’ve had to stop there as my home electricity keeps tripping out. I’ve got an electrician coming tomorrow to begin the process of upgrading my place to 3 phase power, I’m planning on building 8-12 Milk Crate Miners.
I joined the FTC forum because I’ve chosen it as my main currency to mine, so I want to be part of the community and help out wherever I can.
I’ve got a couple of crates mining Litecoin and I’ve got a couple of 2Th/s servers coming online at the end of the month mining Bitcoins, but FTC will be my main Scrypt currency of choice.
Why FTC? I’ve heard enough people saying how good it is on BTC-e chat, and I wanted to take a gamble on a currency that was still easy to mine. I don’t really know what I"m doing to be honest.
I’ve also realised milk crates are fine if you’ve got 4 or 5, but once you’re approaching 10 or 12 you really want a custom rack of some sort, so I’m here to discuss ideas and learn etc etc.

OK, I’ve got 3 in the shed and 2 in the spare room to spread out the electricity draw… Otherwise the power trips out… I’ll pop out to the shed now and take a pic ;p

Hehe it’s actually quite cool in Melbourne at the moment, which I’m very happy about…

I actually got my photo’s mixed up and I’m high on Morphine at the moment post foot operation :P
Here is my first 270x rig, I had to put one card directly on the mobo, for some reason I couldn’t get 4 risers to work with this one…
