Joking aside i have a separate 40A breaker at the house attached to ~50m of 10mm SWA that runs down to my cabin where there’s another CU that has 2 circuits for the miners (3 on 1, 2 on the other). I did try them all on 1 circuit for shits and giggles but the 2.5mm T&E got rather hot! :-[
Yeah man it would get warm, it’s only good for circa 22Amps you are pulling around 30Amps :D
I wired my shed up to a 30Amp breaker on the MB, I have my own little hobby workshop in there, complete with compressor, welder, spray booth, temp controlled curing cabinet (except my miner is currently set up in that :) )

Go to page 4 of this thread for some pics… Pyxis uses 4x 7950’s and i use 4x 7970’s and we both came up with the same(ish) designs although Pyxis looks more refined ;).

Hey guys :) updated the thread to include pictures. Please submit your pics I would love to look at your mining rigs and I’m sure others in the community would love to as well. Each week I will pick one picture which will go on the main page of this thread and will be called “Rig of the week”. The rig of the week winners will receive a 50FTC reward for their picture. Please include your Rig stats (Cards, KH/s, Temps etc) and your FTC address.

Which 7850s are you using here? What options are your passing?

I can’t get over 530 on mine.

I am running Gigabyte and MSI 7850’s and that is both cards combined I posted. MSI is getting 300 k/h each and the Gigabytes I’m getting 343 k/h each when it is full speed, but I am waiting for a replacement on one of the Gigabytes… No overclocking and zero h/w errors…

Edit:
Gigabyte - Thread Concurrency = 8192 Intensity = 16 no-submit-stale
MSI - Thread Concurrency = 8192 Intensity = 16,20 Shaders = 2048 no-submit-stale

Well I’d like to nominate nutnuts rigs, a kickass ::) 15Mhash ::) setup that could have been mining other coins with but instead chose to mine feathercoin. :)

wow… guys running rigs at 80c+?..

I got:

2x 7870 420kh each at 75c
2x 7790 300kh each at 70c

I was quite impressed with the 7790 (didnt look at stats before i bought)… for those that want to best bang for the buck… $150 card doing 300kh and is extremely power efficient.

ok so what is your setting???..I cant get more than 244kH/s from 7790 so far.

My stupid ass rig!
(been working on it the entire day to convert for linux, what did i get, less hashrate and to few pci-e extenders and to few psie power connectors. Oh and before i forget, one of my rigs with 6950,3x6870 died a couple of minutes ago, either the psu or the mb to blaim…)

bottom left: 4x 5870 (total 1279khash non clocked average 74degrees, did 1560khash in windows with 80degrees)
middle left: 5x6970 (total 2011khash non clocked heat between 61-82degrees, did 2300khash in windows with around 82 degrees on all cards)
top left: 3x7970, 2x7850 (total 2200khash non clocked, heat between 60-71degrees, did 2560khash in windows with around 75-85 degrees)
bottom right: 1x6950, 3x6870 (total who the fuck nows… its dead ::))
top right: 2x5830 (my best cards, giving me around 500khash total, but hell ive hit a lot of blocks with em!, as of now, dead since im 1 hdd short…)

My main computer: 7990 (1056 khash, non clocked. should be 2x7990 but heat issue… need watercooling).

I was hoping to reach 10k this week, but it doesnt look good. lost around 800khash just for converting to linux.
And nothing seems to want to work today :o

Still hope for a rock stable system since all the cards are more cooler under xubuntu, also much more easier to manage with ssh terminals to each rigs for easy maintenance/changes

As far as ive read cgminer is a very stable option. dont think cgminer itself has crashed whatsover in the two months ive been mining (not counting windows fails…)

I see, tbh guiminer has also been rock solid also.

You can mine using either cgminer or reaper also saves all your pool logins and which gfx cards they use so you can have multiple tabs to easily connect or disconnect.

Essentially im using cgminer but with a gui interface so easier to control i suppose

as far as i know reaper is bad regarding stability.
i followed this guide for xubuntu/cgminer setup: http://www.cryptobadger.com/2013/04/build-a-litecoin-mining-rig-linux/

2x7950 @ 655-670kh/s each. Locked voltage at 1.25. 1100MHz core and 1500MHz memory. Powertune +20. Temps at 72C and 86C. Ambient is around 23C.
I also have a 6950 in my desktop that runs around 350kh/s during non-gaming use and 480kh/s when I’m off the PC.

I’ll be looking to change the voltage on the 7950s soon, but it requires a firmware flash and a bit of tweaking that I don’t have time for right now. I think the high temps on the second one is because of crummy thermal paste. I’ll be replacing that when I flash the firmware. That’ll all probably happen once I get my crate and other materials next week. Right now they’re sitting in a ghetto combination of plastic hangers and wires to give them better airflow. Precarious, but I think it’ll hold for a week.
