Hey from Asheville ;) …. I’m still having problems figuring out how to mine using gpminer and this old late 2008 macbook. Heat hasn’t been an issue…Its so easy and simple I sort of don’t want to give away my secret….
I took the battery our and pointed two small fans at it from under my 4" high computer stand I use for DJing… No heat problems so far…

I’ve been paying attention to crypto only since the BTC was around $10.00 which was causing a lot of commotion at the time. LOL …

Can’t get .bat file to run properly successfully
if I try Astroid it always crashes at some point or another

On Mac/*NIX(Tradionaly Bourne Again Shell) we use shell scripts (.sh)
Windows (Powershell) you use a .bat
Did you mean a .Dat? No, wait… Ehm. Feathercoin just takes too long sync. I use my exchange. Now I there is, like litecoin, a bootstrap.dat I didn’t get it working either. Honestly.
Now Aestroid. I don’t think it will work on a Pro. You’d need Intel HD Graphics 4000+ for OpenCL. I use a CPUMiner. Yeah, it is command line, but It is okay! -
