I don’t think we need " old style investors", Feathercoin was set up by a community dedicated to open source and are investing their time and expertise, like you. That is more important than outsiders that we have to “convince”, you are the one that found us, you deserve the early adopter bonus inherent in the Satoshi Bitcoin protocol.

at the moment I mine around 400 FTC aday give or take a few on Coinotron, I tried a few other pools before then I suspected something fishy but coinotron was the most rewarding thus far this week I plan on adding 8 x 7990s which will increase hashrate to around 24000 khash my target is 20000 FTC amonth if difficulty stays the same at least maybe for a while
I have them running on my rooftop totaly isolated from my living area 15kw UPS setup 8 mbit ADSL and 1mbit SHDSL as backup I have fiberoptic installed at my home I will activate it next month I have a youtube video of my rig here

Pools aren’t necessarily “fishy”. You need one close with a good low ping rate to get best results, I found.
But as I said, the post has gone off topic. Other miners could have learn’t from your question in " The Mining thread".

Welcome to Feathercoin, I to mine on coinotron but I only get about 400khash around 10 coins a day. I’m not doing it to become a millionaire though lol.
I really like the idea behind feathercoin, and if I get a little reward in the process then that’s a win win for me :) I like your rig setup.

Woow , I didn’t expect that many GPUs ! With my crappy pc I think i can mine 1 FTC in like a month :)) . I don’t know what to do , because I don’t have like 10k USD to invest in mining :( I don’t even have enough to afford a decent PC =)) . By the way , nice mining rig , good luck with the mining ! Keep helping the Feathercoin community with what you can , so that your coins will be worth a lot more in the near future :P !

You are actually right , by selling my pc for FTCs , i can actually get one lifetime worth of mining FTCs =)), and after that I wait a year without a pc and I sell 2-3 FTC to buy a brand new pc and a mining rig :P . Too bad that I will need a pc to sell my FTC s :))

Holy cow. Sometimes i wish i didn’t have kids. Just out of curiosity how is the market in Istanbul for GPU’s? Which GPU’s do you find work the best (most stable/best temp/highest hash rate) I couldn’t tell if you were using PCI-E risers or not. Do you typically have 2 cards per board? What do you use to remote into them? a KVM?
As a fellow geek - your setup makes me drool. I’m pretty satisfied with my 2800Kh/s for now, but your setup is dreamy.

The summer time has not happened yet the system is 1 month old hope to switch to my preordered scrypt asic miners by then.
