My hunch says Feathercoin is going to be one of up to half a dozen (that’s right, you don’t think competing brands will not happen do you? Like Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Discover… :) ! ) kep players.
Anyone able to verbalise a newbies “hunch”?
Are there any advantages in protocol to bitcoin besides the enormous redistribution of power from SCRYPT?

I honestly would not be surprised that in 5 to 10 years, we will see many coins surviving strong. Each with there own unique feature set. Each having their own specific application. Some coins will share attributes and some will run parallel with the networks.

It would make sense that, with multi-coin wallets, there could be upwards of 10+ coin types. Needless to say, only the useful will survive.

I’ve thought about the possibility that there could be some coins that simply represent different denominations. You could buy an expensive item with a combination of whole coins, so there will be no need to deal with decimal points… Who knows.

The point I’m trying to make is that any coin that is willing to adapt will eventually reach a measurable level of public adoption. I see a future of many coins, but it is through Feathercoin, I believe I can make the most positive difference.
