What is the safest and most secure way to turn USD into FTC? I have a friend I buy BTC from with paypal but only because I trust him. Hes not been around lately and I need to find a way to buy BTC or FTC safely with USD.

I use bitstamp to buy bitcoins and BTC-e to exchange them to FTC.

Some markets are listed here: http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/

I do not have experience with all of them so I can’t promise you they all work fine. There was a good topic about exchanges on the ftc-forums but I can’t find it, sorry.

            Hello!

My go to is using coinbase.com to exchange anything from USD to BTC and back again. From there you can buy and sell it into any currency. It takes 30 days to get verified to be able to do 50 coin a day transactions. What is nice about coinbase, is you can buy up to 10 coins instantly (a week maybe) so there’s no waiting period.

Rep for the coinbase link. Seems like a great alternative for US residents to get started

jti8899 - This question would have been better posted in the correct section.
