. . .download and create a wallet, encrypt the wallet, send coins, receive coins, and backup the wallet to USB drive.
I have been using a simple approach to get people interested in crypto (feathercoin in particular).
The process goes something like this:
- I get them to download the client and create wallet
- I walk them through the process of encrypting their wallet
- I have them copy and paste their public key into a text or email and send it to me
- I then send them 2FTC
- I then walk them through sending me 1FTC back
- Last I walk them through backing up their wallet to a USB drive.
The whole process is so simple that if they have kids I encourage them to have the kids present to learn too. Once this is done I begin to teach them the “Value” to Feathercoin see my other posts in the forum.
So GTXBiker donated 10FTC and I will use it to teach the first (9) people. So far I have only done this with people in the US and been able to talk through process on phone. Not sure I even have international calling on my phone, but totally willing to work around that obstacle with anyone willing to put in the time to learn this. You will need only to be a registered member of the forum (pretty easy) and PM (Personal Message) me! To do this, hover you mouse over the little icons below my user name, right below where it says “Rep:x” Looks like this:

Find the one that says “personal Message” and click it. Shoot me a short note telling me why you want to learn this and agreeing to do your part. We can then discuss how to contact one another to accomplish the task that works for us both.
[b]NOTE: This is not a faucet for people with coins in their wallet. I will ask for a screen shot of your newly created and empty wallet. This is for newbies who want to learn this and can totally use the tutor type help.[/b]
I am not asking for anything in return, and you can keep the 1FTC you will end up with, I do hope you will repeat the process with others to help spread awareness and understanding and enlarge the feathercoin community as a whole, but even that is up to you. Would be an added benefit to make some new friends across the globe as well (Ecuador? ;))
So there it is. I currently have enough FTC to do this about 9 times.

Instead of phone calls you should try Skype. Works really well and even provides you with a screen-sharing.
