New to mining and FTC

hello! i just started setting up cgminer 3.7.7, and i’m running into some problems. i get error -54, something about enqueueing kernel. i plan on GPU mining with HD 6670 (i know, not the best card). pool i joined is d2, my bat file line is this:
cgminer.exe --neoscrypt -I 14 --worksize 48 -g 1 -o stratum+tcp://pool.d2.cc:3833 -u -p
i left the username and password blank just for this post… any help is greatly appreciated

May be worth trying a really low intensity in case that is the issue. -I 8 is the lowest so start there and increase until you get no extra performance or it freezes l!
If you get the same error come back and we can see what else we can try!

hmm, same error. i got the amd app thingie ver 2.9.1, catalyst ver 14.9… my first mining experience is with guiminer mining LTC, so using cgminer is new to me

I have a 6670 although I’ve never tried it with NeoScrypt yet.
From what I’ve read you need to remove your catalyst version and install 13.11 then compile your miner with ./autogen.sh then upgrade to the newer version of catalyst for better performance.
But… The miner has not yet been optimised for the 5xxx and 6xxx cards so expect very low numbers e.g. 10khs or less. (2.5khs reported) its a good card but just can’t run this miner well yet.

try with -I 15 and -g 2

Best to ask a question in mining to get the latest help (and be where others can see the answer).
Old cards are still a problem, things is changing fast, so that situation may improve soon.
