@Moonman Would be interesting to see survivors and wiped out coins. With currently being on position 73 regarding market volume shown by coinmarketcap FTC is at least not on vogue but also still alive ;-).

It is among the 10% of the top coins out of 709 coins listed in total.

        Some volume numbers

        • Nr. Dead coins - e.g. all with “LowVol” (seems to be below $100/day) = 297 coins
        • Nr. nearly dead coins (trading volume below $1000/day incl. low volume) = 509 coins
        • 71% trading volume between 0-$1000/day
        • 85% trading volume between 0-$7000/day
        • with $7593 for FTC - not that bad

        Percentile regarding market cap

        • 59% are in the range between 0-$10,000.00
        • 84% are in the range between 0-$560,000.00
        • 88% are in the range between 0-$1,000,000.00
        • With $1,250,000.00 - FTC is really still in the top range!

Data based on this google sheet

In addition I’m not aware of (m)any specialities (is neoscrypt one) and ongoing innovations. Asking again - What is special about feathercoin?

Expectations - much more coins will die. FTC will survive ;-) and get back to Nr.3 - (ok - this is more a hope).

Ineresting views and i sort of agree with most of them. One point i might diverge a bit from is that the adoption is based on innovation and practicality of application. I usually observe media trends pulling people to a coin, as well as orchestrated pump and dumps.

After the neoscrypt switch, i feel that feathercoin is staying sort of behind regarding media attention (feathercoon website redesign-update, social media, internal and external forum presence, media outlet promotion through articles, etc.)

Although i am a feathercoin holder for years now, i recently started posting on the forum and feel that would gladly offer my assistance with those issues if i had the time. Unfortunately my free time is usually extremely scarce and i suppose i could not very activly contribute due to that, although i am willing to help when i can.

If any feathercoin devs/managers see this post, could i offer any assistance in those fields?

Most, if not all of the team members are in the same situation as you, where the spare time is very rare.
That is the main reason for some of the delays in projects and missing presence in the external forums and the social media.
For example the re-design of the web site is ongoing for more than a year now and making very slow progress.

Therefore I really appreciate your offer for help.
Can you send me a pm, so we can discuss how and where you could give support best?

Same feeling here, do we have a section to expose our skills and see what we can do to help ?

while the threads “who’s buying” i’m curious, because of the persistent slow downward in the price; who’s selling? there was one major holder at one time do they still hold their holdings?

Same here. Everytime I put a low ball buy order in, it seems its gone the next day. Cheap coins are always a plus but Ive already hit my “Feathercoin holding goal” and really should look at paying off the farm I just built.

@looarn excellent to see work being done and fresh recruits. the current market games we are observing seem indifferent to fundamentals; looks like someone is purposely driving the price down.
although no surprises with current lows (i’ve predicted 700sat as the usual bottom to this type of play). but as with AmDD, i’ve not waited til the bottom to start buying more, just surprising how easily my low ball orders keep being filled.

@FlatBlack Found this interesting stats - https://bitinfocharts.com/de/top-100-richest-feathercoin-addresses.html - could be interesting to investigate where the current coins are coming from.

And - there are some large amount investors holding their >3mio coins after a one time buy - I guess they are waiting for the Tsunami ;-)

And it is interesting to see that some of the top holders (could also be 1-2 with splitted addresses as the bought amount is the same) have currently huge (not realized) losses of more than 70%. Interesting to see when there bottom limit will be reached?

not sure what u exactly mean, but very possible.

do u mean 2 address’ in the same client?

be alot of explaining but yeah block explorers wont accurately show the public address’ v what your address per your wallet are (clients come with a certain amount of default addy’s and don’t always match how you see v’s the world, but yeah not explained by me well).
