Sometimes, my miner likes to run and sometimes it just opens and sits there.
Here is what is in my .bat file:
      nsgminer.exe --neoscrypt -g 1 -w 128 -I 16 -o stratum+tcp://stratum.aikapool.com:7904 -O wat1243.userwat:password

any help would be appreciated. Thanks

          Hi @wat1243

          Welcome to the forums.

If the same .Bat file works sometimes and at other times it just sits there doing nothing…and you’re sure you’re not editing it. It’s probably the pool going down.

That seems to be it. I ran the exact same .bat file 12 hours later and it started working. Thanks!

You need to have failback / fallover pools, in case one is down. With p2pool, you are switching between the same “global pool”, this can be more awkward with centralised servers, but check if the have alternate servers, even if the ping is slow, it’s better than loosing stratum …
