@chekaz I appreciate that. I was just thinking ahead for a future example where a teller or cashier who’s not familiar with crypto makes a mistake by pushing the wrong button.
I’m not a programmer, just looking at this from a user perspective.

Sorry for the regestration delay, it is a bug with NodeBB add-on. We have tried to fix it, any one with NodeBB and add-on experience programming or set up, let us know .

I have an idea, create my own cypto currency to promote my business. Does anyone know anyone who could offer tips on how this could be done and set up. I offer the coins the coins in exchange for marketing , custom loyalty, and then of course sell them.

@powermax89 That’s definitely a weird way to fix things. The correct would be to add -w 128

336,000,000 Coins are available. And right now 184,845,880 are in circulation. This just means that not all feathercoins are found yet and that we can still mine them.

For example Bitcoin has 21,000,000 Coins and 16,738,612 are in circulation. So they are closer to the point where it is impossible to mine new bitcoins. When they reach 21 Million coins it is impossible to mine new coins. Miners will only get paid by fees when that happens because new bitcoins can’t be generated anymore.

That seems to be it. I ran the exact same .bat file 12 hours later and it started working. Thanks!

You need to have failback / fallover pools, in case one is down. With p2pool, you are switching between the same “global pool”, this can be more awkward with centralised servers, but check if the have alternate servers, even if the ping is slow, it’s better than loosing stratum …

These sync issues are annoying, we spent a lot of time diagnosing and fixing them. Unfortunately, some people occasionally still get stuck in a loop getting past long orphan chains.

Increasing the “temporary memory space” further used to audit the blockchain as it comes in, might start to cause other problems. I have made a note to increase the memory further for the next release, to reduce these edge cases.

Just in case there is something else causing an issue, which version of 0.9.6.2 are you using, the MAC? what is the CPU speed and memory?

It has ran overnight for about 3 or 4 days, not constantly getting blocks during the day. It does seem like those settings are working now, the additional peers and the shrinkdebug/maxorphans as well. This is taking quite a bit longer (10x?) than any other blockchain update/downloads. Currently at 1y 26wk!

I don’t suppose you know anyone who knows how to develop iOS apps as well?
Seems there’s a dearth of iOS developers able to port a wallet.

The 20MHash was getting shares - 2MHash is starting to get low power (compared to the global pool hash) , should you have continued you would have got 10% of the 20MHash payouts…
