lol it’s getting annoying supporting 10.9.5 since it’s sooo old!

I’ve not been able to get the time to release a binary that is backwards compatible. it is on my list of things to do.

unfortunately you’re going to need to remember the password.

Try typing it instead of copying and pasting…make sure there’s no trailing white space you’ve copied etc.

@acidd all the same size 131072 leads me to believe the coins are all gone. =\

I dont know what to say here. You claimed you have an old wallet.dat from years ago. If you had coins then and it’s the same wallet.dat then you should have your coins.

Unfortunately only you can tell us what you did and we can try to help.

I’ve seen users overwrite wallets before which would mean the coins are gone.

@ghostlander This may be a newbie question (sorry), but I have to ask it. I am using R9 280x and 7850s. it sounds like I should be using the 14.7 RC3 (Windows) drivers for best results. How do I get this older driver? I checked AMD’s site - I see the 14.4 and 14.9 but not the 14.7 drivers. I am running on a Win 10 machine.

Thanks in advance, and appreciate your forbearance of a bit of newbie.

      1 - Go to google.com
      2 - search for “AMD 14.7 Drivers”
3 - the first link is from Guru3D and has a download link to the drivers.

      http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/amd-catalyst-14-7-rc3-(14-200-1004-august-11)-download.html

      I hope this helps

Normally the version from p_conrad should have worked also, if it is the 0.9.6.2 version…

If it helps anyone else, I deleted all the files in my windows/users/[username]/appdate/roaming/feathercoin directory except wallet.dat and this forced the wallet to re-download the blockchain. It successfully passed the block it was hung on before and is now up-to-date. All is good now.

Steps I took to update were:

Thanks for the update, it explains why some have more trouble than others syncing.

I did a full sync about three months ago and it took around five days so I understand what some newbies are complaining about. Granted I have a 2009 eight core previous generation Mac Pro on adsl at the time but it was tedious

Both ways to do a backup are equivalent.
The backup.dat contains your private keys, not all the transactions of your wallet, so you need to create a new backup only, after you created a new receiving address in your wallet

      @acidd

So for it so good It helped me to decrease the temperatures and a little bit hash rate but it is stable so far. By decreasing gpu engine and memory clock via Wattman settings stops the crashings .But Before coming this conclusion I think I have to wait and let me see how will it go. By the way I used DDU plentty of times. Uninstalling reinstalling etc. It doesnt help. The main problem is Wattman in my opinion. But One thing for use I will never buy amd Graphic cards again :)

Ty so much for the info about the clocks and intensity. I thought those settings gonna decrease my hashrates a lot I was wrong :)I will keep you updating about the conditions.
